Fisk & Gregory, PLC is a firm of Attorneys and Counselors at Law with a powerful legacy of service to the community. Located in the historic Southside Virginia Town of Chatham in Pittsylvania County, our team of lawyers and staff of administrative professionals take pride in delivering legal services of high quality to all of our clients.

 

History

In 1936, Coleman B. Yeatts, Sr. established a law practice in Chatham, Virginia. That firm grew to become the partnership known as Yeatts, Overbey and Ramsey, which for decades served clients with distinction in the general practice of law. Its members included former Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court Judge Coleman B. Yeatts, Jr., longtime real estate practitioner and former Assistant Commissioner of Accounts Jesse W. “Buck” Overbey, and Linda F. Ramsey, who was Pittsylvania County’s first practicing female attorney. Coleman B. Yeatts, Sr., in addition to his career as a lawyer in Chatham, also served in Richmond as a member of Virginia’s General Assembly, first in the House of Delegates and later in the Senate.

 

Timothy M. Fisk joined the practice in the Fall of 2010, while Maggy L. Gregory joined the firm in the Summer of 2017. In 2012 the firm led the purchase and renovation of the former BB&T bank building at the corner of Main Street and Court Place in Chatham and thereafter moved from its adjacent location to the newly acquired property. During this period, Fisk & Gregory, PLC rejuvenated an array of practice areas and have substantially grown the firm in the years since.
