Mary Scott Swyers

Associate Attorney

 

Ms. Swyers is a native of Pittsylvania County, Virginia, growing up in Chatham and graduating from Hargrave Military Academy.  Ms. Swyers received her undergraduate degree from the Davidson College, in Davidson, North Carolina, in 1989, and her law degree from The University of Tulsa, College of Law, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1994, where she was elected as an editor of the University of Tulsa Law Review and graduated with honors.

 

Prior to joining Fisk & Gregory, PLC, Ms. Swyers worked for over 15 years in the procurement department at AARP working on various types of business agreements. Previous experience includes one year of private practice with a firm in Danville, Virginia and several years working as in-house counsel at corporate headquarters for The Williams Companies, Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she practiced business and corporate law concentrating in telecommunications matters.

 

Ms. Swyers is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  At Fisk & Gregory, PLC, Ms. Swyers' practice focuses on family law, including serving as a Guardian ad Litem and representation in custody matters and divorce; property law, including the preparation of real estate contracts and representation in real estate transactions; and business law matters, including related civil ligation.

 

Ms. Swyers has three daughters and resides in the Town of Chatham.
