Maggy L. Gregory

A partner and co-owner of the firm, Maggy earned her law degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in 2010, where she was selected for the Order of the Coif for graduating in the top 5% of her class. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in 2005. Maggy has been with the firm since 2017.

 

Prior to joining Fisk & Gregory, PLC, Maggy was in private practice with a firm in Danville, Virginia for five years. That experience followed two years of a judicial clerkship with the 1st Judicial Circuit in Dorchester County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

 

Maggy’s practice focuses on helping her clients with all estate planning matters, including wills and trusts, planning for special needs individuals, asset protection planning, business succession planning, elder law issues, and estate administration and litigation. She also practices business and corporate law and represents clients on a variety of civil matters. Maggy is licensed to practice in the state courts of Virginia and Maryland as well as federal court in the Western District of Virginia and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. At the state appellate level, she has successfully argued before the Virginia Supreme Court.

 

Maggy, who with her husband operates a beef cattle and meat lamb farm, is also a leader with the American Bar Association where she has served as the national chair of the Agricultural Law Subcommittee. In addition, she regularly presents at professional conferences on legal issues affecting succession planning and estate matters.

 

Maggy also serves on the board of directors of the Danville Regional Foundation, an organization that works to encourage revitalization and renewal in the Dan River Region, by making long-term investments in education, health equity, and economic prosperity. She attends County Line Baptist Church and lives in Vernon Hill with her husband, Clark, and their two sons.
